About the music
This inspiring and healing music combines the
angelic voice of Susan
Kay Wyatt with an adult and children's chorus, inviting the
listener on an epic musical journey that explores the gifts we
all possess. Along this journey are stunningly-produced
meditative pop sounds and exciting percussive tracks, including
gospel, hip-hop, calypso and traditional jazz. This is music for
every child and for the child in every adult.
Dedicated to inspiring adults and children alike, Susan Kay Wyatt is a dynamic vocal artist and songwriter with a message of empowerment and passion for love and life. Her previous works include Speak the Word and Something Sacred Here. Now, she has teamed with neuroscientist/musician Rob Peters and music therapist Kasi Peters to co-write and co-produce The Twelve Gifts of Birth. Together they share a common passion and the urgent need to spread the message that we are all born with the gifts of strength, beauty, courage, compassion, hope, joy, talent, imagination, reverence, wisdom, love and faith. What reviewers are sayingNicely produced positive, uplifting songs that reinforce the values of strength, beauty, courage, hope and compassion among others. John Wood, KidzMusic.com Susan Kay Wyatt's Twelve Gifts of Birth is a musical interpretation of the book of the same name written by Charlene Costanzo... One of the first things that attracts me to any project is its production quality. It is hard for me to like the project at all if the production quality is not there. I could tell right away that this project was of top caliber and I knew I was in for a treat. This project has a very clean melodic sound and is very soothing to the ears. At the same time it offers some musical diversity that is engaging to even more serious musicians. All of the songs are well written and very well arranged... The highlight for me was track 7, which is a song titled I've Got Joy... The CD will lift your spirits and leave you with a wonderful feeling of Joy! Chris Foster What listeners are saying'The Twelve Gifts of Birth' is beautiful and inspirational. Each song is life affirming: such important messages to share with our children, and to remind ourselves of as adults. Michelle Madrid-Branch, Adoption Means Love The charm and positive message of the Twelve Gifts music can truly raise a person's spirit and increase their self-esteem. A must-have for those who work with children or who are working on themselves. Kimberly Clayton Blaine, MA, MFT Licensed Child and Family Therapist This beautiful, spiritually uplifting CD is so filled with love and joy it makes my heart soar. Susan Kay Wyatt has a lovely, warm, lilting voice, complimented by a sparkling children's chorus. Each song is truly a gift to be shared with all the children in your life. Joanie Bartels, Award-Winning Children's Recording/Performing Artist It's wonderful and inspiring for people of all ages. Kenneth L. Herman, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist We thoroughly enjoyed every song! What a blessing for children to enjoy these beautiful songs and messages! We can't wait to share them with all the precious children in our lives! CDbaby.com review: Cathy and Jim Hatch, California Customers will buy both [the book and CD] and feel like the present they were shopping for is complete. The music is beautiful... Gayle Shanks, Buyer, Changing Hands Bookstore (Tempe, AZ) As a music educator, I highly recommend this CD and the book that it is based on.
